Pine Hills Covered Bridge, Shandaken, NY
This covered bridge, built in 1992 on a precast concrete Inverset bridge substructure, is located in Pine Hills, Town of Shandaken, NY. The bridge is a charming entrance to a day use park in the Catskill Mountains. The bridge structure, which was 72 ft long by 22 ft wide, includes a covered sidewalk adjacent to a single traffic lane rated for HS-25 traffic loads.

This artful blending of precast concrete Inverset bridge technology and an attractive wooden roof with an adjacent covered sidewalk created an aesthetically appealing, durable, "Covered Bridge" which serves as the gateway to a NYS Park. The Inverset units utilized Grade 50W steel and were erected on cast-in-place concrete abutments.
