Hy-Span® Bridge, Voorheesville, NY
This precast concrete bridge is located in the village of Voorheesville, NY, and carries Route 85A over Vly Creek. The Hy-Span® three-sided bridge structure was installed in the Spring of 1999. The structure was skewed 30° spanning 33 ft 6 in. with an 8 ft 8 in. rise and featured precast concrete invert slabs and footings. The wingwalls were built with T-Wall® retaining wall units cast with a random ashlar form liner finish to match the parapet finish of the bridge. The precast solution was a perfect fit for this picturesque rural setting.

This Hy-Span® structure located in Rensselaer County, NY, has a 38 ft 10 in. span by 7 ft 10 in. rise. It was designed for an HS-25 live load and is on a 10° skew. The structure is founded on cast-in-place (CIP) pile footings. The precast wingwalls are a cantilever design and are pinned to the CIP footings for sliding resistance. Corbels were cast monolithically with the Hy-Span® units to support the approach slabs.
