The Hudson River Way Bridge, Albany, NY
The Hudson River Way pedestrian bridge spanning I-787 connects historic downtown Albany, NY to the adjacent Corning Preserve and the nearby Hudson River. Built as part of an initiative to revitalize the downtown area of Albany, the structure features a conventional cast-in-place composite deck adorned with concrete balustrades and unique precast concrete obelisks.

Local artists further enhanced the obelisks by painting renderings reminiscent of the rich history of the Albany area. The detailed obelisks also serve as bases for special lighting fixtures shown above.
