This residential roadway in Woodbury, NY was cut through an existing hillside. The resulting depth of the side slopes required the use of a structural retaining wall. To minimize excavation, this traditional post and panel lagging wall was installed on both sides of the road.

The structural aspects of this steel pile supported lagging wall are disguised with precast concrete caps covering the top and front faces of the piles and an architectural form liner cast into the structural panel.
The wall was manufactured and installed to follow the profile of the road and the grade of the retained soil behind the wall.
