Saw Mill River Cove, Yonkers, NY
Prefabricated bridge units were specified for use on this three-span bridge in Yonkers, NY as part of a development project along the Hudson River waterfront. A modular solution was required to accommodate the potential need to access a 54” diameter force main that runs beneath the structure. The structural depth was also dictated by the grade constraints at either end of the bridge between a developed parcel and another property under construction.

The wood decking and wooden handrail theme has been carried throughout the pedestrian walkway along the water’s edge.
Built alongside the rail station in Yonkers, NY, access to the commuter train has been provided from the waterfront side of the tracks to further encourage the use and development of this restored area in the City of Yonkers.
