Materials and Equipment Approved List

Approved List as of:  January 2, 2007

SCOPE

This Approved List for Materials and Equipment of Manufacturers and/or Suppliers is compiled and issued by the Materials Bureau.  Additions and deletions are continually being made.  Between monthly updates of the Approved List on the Internet, a copy of the approval letter from the Department of Transportation Agencies to Manufacturers or Suppliers may be used as evidence of acceptability.

The date at the top of the title page indicates when the internet version of the Approved List was last updated.  The date at the end of each category indicates the last time a change was made to that category.

DOMESTIC and FOREIGN MATERIAL

Items containing steel and/or iron have specified use restrictions under § 106-11, Buy America, of the Standard Specifications.  The appearance of a material of non-domestic origin on this Approved List in no way implies its universal acceptability for use.  The Contract documents govern.

METRIC and U.S. CUSTOMARY UNITS

A separate Metric section no longer exists.  Where appropriate, U.S. Customary (English) units of measure are now shown either next to Metric units, in a separate table on the same page, or on an adjacent page.  Most products do not contain units of measure.
