Group (TIG) Focus Technology 2006 Designation:
The Super-Slab® Precast Pavement project for the New York Thruway Authority for the reconstruction of I-287 and the Tappan Zee Toll Plaza, Tarrytown, N.Y. was selected by AASHTO as one of the most promising “new” technologies to be promoted throughout the country.
Roads & Bridges Magazine:
2004 The construction of the new Belt Parkway Bridge over Ocean Parkway in Brooklyn, NY for the N.Y.C. DOT was recognized as one of the Top 10 bridge projects in the U.S. in the November issue. This project also received the A.S.C.E. N.Y. Area Metropolitan Section award for the best Design-Build Project of 2004.

included a Notice summarizing the details of the
HFL Program. In Section 3, “Proprietary
Products and Processes”, the Super-Slab®
System is specifically mentioned as being “eligible
to be considered as innovative practices to speed
construction and minimize construction caused congestion”.
