A total of (8) prefabricated bridge units were fabricated by The Fort Miller Co., Inc. (Easton, NY) and delivered to the project site where they were installed by the contractor, Slate Hill Constructors Inc. (Warners, New York).
The combination of weight (86-tons), length (82′-4″), and width (11′-7″) of these bridge units required special casting, handling, and delivery methods and equipment as shown in the below photos.
The aggressive and accelerated nature of this project required the contractor utilize precast barrier on each of the four (4) bridge fascia units. Precast backwalls and approach slabs were also utilized.
