This project consisted of Fort Miller supplying a total of 2,511 precast concrete bridge deck panels for the elevated viaduct through the Borough of The Bronx, New York City. Originally designed and bid as cast-in-place, the contractor proposed a precast solution which reduced the disruption to the traveling public by approximately two years. Stainless steel reinforcement and ultra high performance concrete (UHPC) were utilized on this project to ensure a long lasting product for the owner.
