When replacing this bridge in historic Trenton, N.J., the designers wanted to provide a structure that closely resembled the architecture of the original crossing. By utilizing a custom form liner, tinted concrete and hand staining, the owner’s requirements were achieved with precast concrete. The custom form liner used on standard 2’-6” x 5’-0” T-WALL® units and grouted joints make the modularity of the retaining wall solution indiscernible.
The precast concrete parapet was manufactured using custom wood forms to follow the vertical curve requirements of the project.
The cut, textured stone form liner produced stones that were individually stained and the simulated grout lines between stones completed the natural stone effect.
