Fort Miller Precast is proud to announce that the National Precast Concrete Association has recognized us as a Top 25 precast manufacturer in the country.
Out of more than 400 plants nationwide, Fort Miller earned a perfect score on all required audit points, 92 out of 92, and achieved a total score of 100 through additional points for demonstrated plant and process improvements.
That result places Fort Miller at the highest score in the country among this year’s Top 25 recognized plants.
This recognition means a great deal to our team. It reflects the culture we have built at Fort Miller Precast, one rooted in quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Being recognized among the industry’s highest-performing plants reinforces our commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance precast solutions to our partners and customers, and it validates the discipline and consistency our team brings to the work every day.
About the Recognition
Founded in 1965, NPCA is a trade association representing companies across the precast concrete industry, including manufacturers, suppliers, technology providers, and service partners.
Through its certification programs, quality control resources, and technical leadership, NPCA helps establish high standards across the precast concrete industry.
At the center of this recognition is NPCA’s Plant Certification program. Launched in 1987, the program was developed to improve the quality of precast concrete products and provide owners, engineers, specifiers, and contractors with an objective way to verify that quality. The certification program is built around the NPCA Quality Control Manual for Precast Concrete Plants and is verified through annual audits of certified plants.
These audits are conducted by an independent engineering representative to verify compliance with the NPCA Quality Control Manual. Follow-up audits are unannounced and can occur at any time during the year. The process evaluates core areas of operation, including plant quality control procedures, management policies, plant safety, raw materials, batching and mixing, production practices, inspections, testing, storage, shipment, and recordkeeping.
Certification is awarded only when a plant achieves at least an 80 percent overall score and at least 75 percent in critical sections. Maintaining certification requires strong, consistent performance over time.
This recognition is especially important because it is the result of an independent, process-driven review of how a plant actually operates. It is not based on a marketing claim or a one-time submission.
Safety and Quality at the Forefront
At Fort Miller Precast, those standards align with our internal goals.
Our quality and safety record includes ISO 9001 compliance, PCI and NPCA certification, and a workers’ compensation experience modification factor that is better than the industry average.
Fort Miller has been a PCI-certified precast plant since 2007, and our company has been providing quality precast concrete products to the construction industry since 1948.
These standards are reflected in how we manage production, maintain documentation, monitor processes, invest in improvements, and hold ourselves accountable to rigorous outside standards.
This latest recognition also continues Fort Miller Precast’s long-standing record of national quality recognition through NPCA’s plant certification program. It affirms that our internal standards are visible when measured against the highest expectations in the industry.
This recognition reflects the daily effort of the people who plan, produce, inspect, coordinate, and deliver the work. It also reflects our long-term belief that customers deserve precast solutions they can trust: products built with consistency, backed by experience, and produced with a relentless focus on quality.
