Fort Miller’s bridges installed over the weekend in Montclair, NJ

In the matter of just a few hours in the late morning / early afternoon on Saturday May 18, 2019 – a total of (4) four 58-ft long x 8-ft wide precast Prefabricated Bridge Units (PBU’s) were installed on Bloomfield Avenue (CR 506) over NJ Transit railroad tracks in Montclair, New Jersey. The 58-ton units were fabricated in Fort Miller’s Easton, NY facility – located approximately 200 miles north of the project site. The (4) four bridge units set “this” weekend completed the first of two phases.  A total of (9) bridge units will be set at the completion of the project. Bridge installation was completed by the general contractor, IEW Construction Group from Trenton, New Jersey.
