The first stages of precast concrete bridge deck panels are being installed on the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx, New York.
All ~2,600 panels being manufactured by Fort Miller in Easton, NY will eventually be delivered to the site and be installed by the contractor, Tully Construction Co., Inc. from Flushing, NY.
While the panels vary in size and shape, they are all being cast with a high performance concrete mix and stainless steel reinforcement.
