The first of (975) precast concrete bridge deck panels have been installed by Tappan Zee Constructors on the Main Span portion of The New NY Bridge (the new Tappan Zee Bridge). The new 3+ mile long bridge connecting Rockland and Westchester Counties is owned by The New York State Thruway Authority. All concrete bridge deck panels were manufactured with a high strength concrete mix and galvanized reinforcement at Fort Miller’s Easton, NY facility.
