Fort Miller’s Super-Slabs installed on Freeway-H1 in Hawaii

Working with Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. on a design-build project for Freeway-H1 between Pearl City and Halawa in the County of Honolulu (Island of Oʻahu), our patented Super-Slab pavement system was recently used to replace deteriorating mainline and shoulder concrete. With some of the heaviest traffic volumes in the State of Hawaii combined with very short installation windows, the contracting and design team chose the most widely precast pavement slab in the country, Super-Slab. A total of (1,253) precast slabs were successfully installed during off-peak hours for Hawaii Department of Transportation. The below photos are courtesy of Kiewit Infrastructure West Co.
